The unpowered drum line is also known as the roller table. There are two kinds of rollers: long roll table and short roll table. The surface shape of the long roller table is cylindrical, conical and curved. The cylindrical long roller table is the most widely used. The curve section of the roller table is made up of conical rollers or double row cylindrical rollers, which can make the goods turn. Short rollers can shorten the distance between rollers and have lighter self-weight. Roller table is generally slightly inclined, when the goods are heavy and the line is long, in order to save time and effort, the slope can be 1-1.5%. If the object is to slide, the slope can be increased to 2-3%.

There are many factors affecting the size of self-slip slope, and most of them use experiments to determine the appropriate angle. When the length of the line is less than 10 meters and the goods are lighter than 200 kilograms, the horizontal line can be arranged. Self-sliding roller is not easy to control the speed of sliding, so the length is generally small. The width of rollers is 100-150 mm larger than that of articles. The minimum curvature radius of the curve section is 3-4 times the width of the roller. The distance between rollers is 1/3 to 1/4 of the length of conveying goods, when the stability of conveying goods is required to be high. The spacing is 1/4-1/5 of the length of the conveyor. The diameter of the roll is determined by the load.
